When Reform UK selected Olympic gold medalist Luke Campbell MBE as their candidate for the newly created role of Mayor of Hull and East Yorkshire, Lobo Media was asked to produce a bold and memorable launch event to introduce his candidacy to Hull and the wider region.
To reflect Luke’s journey from champion boxer to public servant, we worked with our suppliers to design a powerful stage moment. He physically stepped out of a boxing ring, symbolising his transition from the sporting world into politics. As he walked down the stage, dynamic visuals featured iconic landmarks from Hull and East Yorkshire, grounding the campaign in the place he calls home.
Luke made it clear that he never set out to be a politician. He stepped forward because he felt his hometown needed someone who truly understood it. We aimed to reflect that authenticity throughout the entire production.
Lobo Media managed the entire event from start to finish, from negotiating venue and supplier contracts to overseeing every element of delivery on the day. We produced the running order, managed ticketing and marketing for over 2,000 attendees, coordinated the live stream, and supervised the design and installation of stage and venue graphics. Working closely with the venue and suppliers, we ensured seamless coordination across AV, security, and logistics.
In May 2025, Luke Campbell MBE was elected Mayor of Hull and East Yorkshire with a majority of 10,981 votes, securing 35.82% of the total vote.
