Decision Time: Race To Lead

In October 2024, GB News aired one of the only televised leadership events between the final two Conservative MPs vying to lead their party. With just one week’s notice, Lobo Media was brought in to produce the event — coordinating all logistics to deliver a live, multi-camera broadcast watched across the UK.

We worked closely with GB News Political Editor Christopher Hope and Conservative Campaign Headquarters (CCHQ) to shape a fair and balanced format. The two-hour event was split evenly between the candidates, giving each a full hour to respond to questions from both the live audience and viewers at home.

Lobo Media managed the entire production operation. We sourced and negotiated contracts for the venue, AV, security, and technical suppliers, ensuring everything was in place for a seamless live broadcast under tight time pressure.

Kemi Badenoch was widely declared the winner of the debate and went on to be elected Leader of the Conservative Party.
